Meet the Band
Kara James
Vocals
When Kara steps up to the mic, the room changes. She channels the spirit of Motown's golden era while making every song unmistakably her own. Her three octave range glides from silky smooth to roof raising power, bringing the heat to every ballad, groove, and dance-floor classic.
Born and raised in London, Ontario, Kara has lit up stages across Canada and the U.S. since the mid-nineties. Her authentic style is steeped in legends - Aretha, Ella, Patti LaBelle - yet infused with a modern edge that dares you to get on your feet and hit the dance floor.
Colin Botten
Keyboard and Vocals
With more than 35 years behind the keys, Colin has taken his music from London, Ontario's iconic Richmond Tavern to stages as far as Banff and Vancouver Island. Along the way, he's lit up Victoria Park's New Year's Eve celebration, Ribfest, Grand Bend Burgerfest, Port Stanley's Calipso Days - to name a few.
A seasoned performer, with a style that looks effortless and a smooth, velvety voice to match, Colin's versatility and energy electrifies every performance.
Recently, Colin took home the well deserved Fantasy Band Keyboardist of the Year award at the 2025 Forest City London Music Awards.
Jerry Fletcher
Electric Bass
Jerry is the heartbeat of the band with a groove that's deep, smooth, and unshakable. For decades, Jerry has been a cornerstone of London's music scene, laying down the rhythms that are as timeless as they are irresistible. A member of the legendary band Uranus - inducted into the London Music Hall of Fame - Jerry has played with many of the regions finest acts including Frank Ridsdale and The Stetson Brothers, SciPhonics, The Nora Galloway band and Dave & Myrna Talbot. He's enjoyed moments most musicians only dream of, including sharing the stage with the great Chuck Berry on an international tour stop.
An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Jerry's musicianship and stage presence make him an essential part of the band's sound.
Blair Heddle
Guitar and Vocals
Blair's guitar work is pure magic; soulful, masterful, and brimming with feel. Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Blair has been a mainstay in the Southern Ontario music scene for decades, sharing the stage with chart topping greats including Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Wanda Jackson and Canadian singer/songwriter Mae Moore. With experience across all genres from Bluegrass and Classic Country, to Southern Rock, Jazz and East Coast Trad music, Blair weaves a story into every note.
Whether he's laying down smooth harmonies or letting his fingers fly across the fretboard, Blair keeps audiences hooked from the first chord to the last encore.
Brian Hodgson
Percussion
Brian was enthralled with the drums from the young age of 5 under the influence of his father, a jazz drummer. To this day, he loves to play his dad's beautiful vintage Gretsch drums that he learned on from the start. Since moving to London in 1977 and studying Music Industry Arts at Fanshawe College, Brian has been a fixture in the local scene - from folk rock and punk/new wave with Bald Buzzard and Second Thoughts to progressive funk fusion with Planet People.
He's collaborated with London legends like Frank Ridsdale and in bands including The Benders and HooDoo Bash, and was a driving force behind Tuerto Loco for 15 years.
Brian brings his jazz, soul, and funk roots front and centre, laying down the irresistible beats that keep the dance floor alive.
